RALEIGH, N.C. — Seven vehicles were hit by gunfire between Monday and Thursday along Interstate 40 and near Cary and Raleigh in incidents that may be connected, Raleigh police say. One woman was injured.
At least six of the shootings are believed to be connected, according to police. Many questions remain unanswered, including where the shots came from and how many people are involved.
A manhunt is underway for the person or persons responsible, although police have not shared any information on the search for a suspect. An investigation is ongoing.
