1 person stabbed on CATS bus near Uptown

The stabbing happened on Statesville Avenue near Oaklawn Avenue.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A fight on a CATS bus led to one person being stabbed on Tuesday.

The incident happened on a CATS bus traveling on Statesville Avenue near Oaklawn Avenue, according to CATS. A fight broke out between two riders, leading to one person stabbing another person.

One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the stabbing, according to Medic.

Nobody else was injured in the incident.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating this incident, according to CATS. Police have not stated if anyone was arrested or provided any details.
