Central Cabarrus High School students arrested for firearm on campus

Jalen Rashun Dixon and Sieaira Lillian West, both 17 years old, were charged.

CABARRUS, N.C. — The Concord Police Department arrested two students for possessing a firearm at Central Cabarrus High School on Friday, November 2.

Jalen Rashun Dixon and Sieaira Lillian West, both 17 years old, were charged.

An initial investigation found Dixon brought the gun to school on Friday and at some point gave it to West. An administrator at Central Cabarrus located the firearm in West's backpack.

Later, it was determined that the firearm was reported stolen.

Dixon was charged with weapons on campus or other education, felony, and possession of a stolen firearm. West was charged with weapons on campus or other educational property, felony.

A third student was arrested in the case on Tuesday. Grayson Brooks, 17, was charged with weapons on campus or other educational property.
