1 person seriously injured in east Charlotte shooting: Medic

The incident happened at the intersection of Milton Road and North Sharon Amity, according to Medic.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was rushed to the hospital after a shooting in east Charlotte Tuesday morning, Medic said. 

Emergency crews responded to a reported shooting near the intersection of North Sharon Amity Road and Milton Road, which is near W.T. Harris Boulevard and the Archdale Marketplace, around 7:30 a.m. Medic confirmed one person was rushed to Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police haven't released any suspect information or announced any arrests. WCNC Charlotte has asked CMPD for more details about this incident. Anyone with information about this shooting can call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600,
