Breon Feaster, 29, was arrested in under two hours according to deputies thanks to the use of a drone.

A man is accused of shooting and killing his own mother at the home they both lived in.
The Chester County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of 29-year-old Breon Feaster on Friday. Deputies said they were called to the home along Columbia Road just after midnight. They arrived and found Feaster's mother dead inside the house. Feaster ran from the scene prior to deputies' arrival.
Deputies said they chased after Feaster, quickly taking him into custody. He's now charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
The sheriff's office shared video of the chase and arrest, recorded using a drone. The office said the drone helped them capture Feaster in challenging lighting conditions.
On Friday, October 11th, 2024 around 12:09 A.M., Chester County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a shooting incident at a residence on Columbia Road in Chester County.
Upon, arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies located one individual that had been shot within the residence. The victim was later pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries sustained during the shooting.
Chester County Sheriff’s Office Investigators responded and initiated an active investigation, while SLED Crime Scene Agents responded to process the crime scene.
The suspect, identified as Breon Feaster, fled the scene after the shooting. After a foot pursuit, involving multiple Sheriff’s Deputies and K9 Units. Sheriff’s Deputies were able to quickly take him into custody. Feaster was transported to the Chester County Detention Center.
Sheriff’s Investigators have obtained arrests warrants charging Feaster with the following crimes:
-Murder
-Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime

Deputies noted that crime scene agents with the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) worked to process the scene. They also noted Feaster appeared to have used a shotgun to kill his mother.
