CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A large police presence gathered Friday afternoon in north Charlotte following a police chase.
According to officials, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a breaking and entering call in the 3600 block of Joel Turner Drive around 1:20 p.m.
Officers said they saw the suspects flee the scene in a car which they then attempted to pull over. When the vehicle's driver refused to pull over, a pursuit began.
Eventually, the occupants in the car jumped out and ran on Pointer Ridge. CMPD said they had one person in custody around 2 p.m. after the individual was tased by police, prompting a response from Medic.
