CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in east Charlotte. The investigation is taking place in the 7000 block of Delta Lake Drive, which is just off East W.T. Harris Boulevard.
Police responded to the area shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday after reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived, officers found 18-year-old Milton Howard with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic paramedics.
Homicide detectives are speaking with parties involved, and not currently looking for any additional suspects.
