CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police need your help identifying the suspects captured in surveillance pictures after officers said they robbed a person at gunpoint at SouthPark Mall on Monday.
Investigators released surveillance images of the three suspects on Wednesday in hopes of finding out their identities.
The victim managed to escape without getting hurt.
NBC Charlotte pulled the crime numbers for the area of the mall. They showed within the past month 75 crimes have been reported within a half-mile of SouthPark Mall. Four of those crimes were armed robberies; 63 were theft cases.
Across town at Northlake Mall, there were 55 reported crimes within the same time period around the mall. Seven of those were assaults; 43 were thefts.
Police are now urging everyone to be aware of your surroundings and shop in pairs or in a group.
