CMPD asking for public's help in January 2023 homicide investigation

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public's help as police investigate a January 2023 homicide. 

Jamal Jones was shot and killed on Jan. 31, 2023, around 8 a.m. It happened in the area of East 24th Street, which is near Cordelia Park and North Davidson Street.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Detective Buhr at 704-432-6315 or submit information to Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
