CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Remaining questions surrounding a 2016 murder were put to rest Friday.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said they identified the two suspects responsible for the 2016 murder of 21-year-old Adrian Potts.
Potts was shot and killed in the University area on June 11, 2016. Police said a large group of people were inside an apartment when altercations began that led to the shooting. Multiple people were shot with three more individuals with gunshot wounds showing up at the hospital while police investigated.
Potts was the younger brother of Atlanta Hawks' DeAndre' Bembry. Potts was killed 12 days before the NBA draft, where Bembry was a first-round pick.
CMPD announced Friday that information and evidence developed during the investigation led homicide detectives to confirm Ferguson Laurent, who would now be 24 years old, and Anthony Eugene Gill, who would now be 23 years old, as suspects.
However, CMPD said both Lurent and Gill are dead.
Authorities are not looking for any additional suspects in the case. If you have any further information, call CMPD at 704-432-TIPS.
