Woman hurt after being stabbed at Charlotte 7-Eleven, CMPD report says

Police said the woman was seriously hurt, and she was taken to a Charlotte hospital to be treated for her injuries.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman is recovering after she was stabbed at a 7-Eleven in Charlotte, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department incident report. 

It happened Tuesday around 7 p.m. at the 7-Eleven on University City Boulevard near John Kirk Drive.

The suspect is accused of assaulting a woman by stabbing her in the chest, according to the CMPD incident report. Police said the woman was seriously hurt, and she was taken to a Charlotte hospital to be treated for her injuries.

The police report noted the suspect and victim did not know one another. Officers later clarified they did know each other.

No arrests have been made at this time, according to police.
