CRAMERTON, N.C. -- A teacher and coach at Cramerton Middle School is accused of embezzling.
Jennifer Kinnett, 45, is charged with eight counts of embezzlement. Police say the Spanish teacher and cheerleading coach took funds from the cheerleading booster club.
Gaston County Schools alerted Cramerton Police to the investigation after officials say they found discrepancies with cheerleading accounts.
Kinnett turned herself into police and was released on a $10,000 bond.
Police are still investigating. There's no word yet if more charges will be filed.
