CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Detectives began conducting a homicide investigation Tuesday morning after a 30-year-old died from what CMPD says is a gunshot wound.
Police were called to the 2900 block of Botany Street in North Charlotte around 2:10 a.m. Tuesday.
Upon arrival, officers say they found Keith Lawrence Ross inside the residence with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased by Medic shortly after officers arrival.
"Indications are [Ross] was shot outside the residence, we do not have any suspects in custody at this point," an officer told NBC Charlotte.
This marks Charlotte's 31st homicide in 2017.
