CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have confirmed that one man is deceased following a shooting in southeast Charlotte Tuesday evening.
According to officials, officers responded to a call on the 6700 block of E. Independence Boulevard around 7:18 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon their arrival, officers located 25-year-old Kyyri Dogette with apparent gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Dogette was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.
Representatives of the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team, Real Time Crime, and Operations Command responded to the scene.Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective.
