CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The man accused of shooting and killing a newspaper delivery man in uptown Charlotte is scheduled to make his first appearance in court Wednesday.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, Roger Best, 22, was released from the hospital and taken into police custody. He is charged with murder, attempted armed robbery, and possession of a firearm by a felon in connection with the fatal shooting of 62-year-old Walter Scott, Jr. on February 15.
