CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person has died after a shooting in east Charlotte Friday.
Around 12:45 p.m. Friday, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 8700 block of Parkland Circle, which is within the Parkland Commons Apartment complex. Responding officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound, according to CMPD. Medic paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
CMPD announced on Saturday the victim's family was notified of his death, identifying him as a 24-year-old man.
No arrests have been announced.
The apartment complex is located off East W.T. Harris Boulevard just north of Albemarle Road.
