Shooting in Gastonia injures 2 people, police say

Police say the shooting happened after an argument between two people "turned physical."

GASTONIA, N.C. — Two people are injured after a shooting in Gastonia that happenedMonday night.

The Gastonia Police Department responded to a shooting on the 700 block of Betty Street around 8 p.m. on Monday.

Police said the shooting seemed to be the result of an argument between two people that "turned physical."

Both people are now in custody and are being treated for their injuries, which police said do not seem to be life-threatening.
