Person shot in north Charlotte, Medic says

The agency said the patient's injuries were life-threatening.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A person is in the hospital Friday evening after getting shot in north Charlotte, according to Medic.

The agency confirmed to WCNC Charlotte around 11 p.m. it responded to a scene along Mallard Ridge Drive, located in a neighborhood near West W.T. Harris Boulevard. The patient's injuries were described as life-threatening, and Medic said they were taken to a hospital for treatment.

It's not known what led up to the incident. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has not yet shared details about an investigation yet.
