CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Officials at Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School have contacted CMPD to help investigate a perceived threat at the school.
According to a letter from Principal Kevin Parks, a teacher found a note on her desk Wednesday afternoon which was written by an unknown student and communicated a threat to the school for Thursday.
Immediately after discovering the threat, Parks contacted CMPD to assist with their own internal investigation and filed a police report.
Parks says that CMPD will post an officer on campus Thursday and that law enforcement officials did not indicate a need to close school. As a precaution, Parks indicated that the school would not gather for Mass Thursday.
