CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was killed Tuesday evening in a northwest Charlotte suburb, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reports.
Police said the shooting happened at around 6:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Westwinds Court. Police said when they arrived, they found 22-year-old Keontez Stephens lying in the road after he'd been shot. Stephens was rushed to Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by emergency staff.
