CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people were arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing in northwest Charlotte last week, detectives announced.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to a reported stabbing on Willard Street a little before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8. When officers got to the area, they found 50-year-old Michael Sterling Workman Jr. suffering from a stab wound. Workman was rushed to a hospital by Medic, where he was pronounced dead.
Both suspects were arrested by CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT). The suspects, identified was Leslie Michelle King and Christopher John Miller, were charged with murder.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, according to CMPD. Any person with information about this stabbing or any other incident is asked to call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. Witnesses may also call 704-432-TIPS to speak directly with homicide detectives.
