HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Lashonda Hudson, 36, was arrested and charged with murder and negligent child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury in relation to a suspicious death of her 4-year-old in October, Huntersville Police Department said.
HPD detectives obtained arrest warrants for Hudson on March 25. The investigation into this death started on October 22, 2018.
The Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner’s Office first notified HPD of the death, as preliminary investigation showed it may be a homicide. HPD worked with the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Department of Social Services during the investigation.
