IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — An Iredell County man is facing numerous child sex charges, court records show.
Charles Browne, 61, is charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of statutory sex offense with a child 15 or younger, according to Iredell County court records. Browne is scheduled to appear in court on April 24. He is being held without bond, jail records show.
Browne pleaded guilty to cyberstalking in federal court in May 2020. Prosecutors accused Browne of sending hundreds of harassing and threatening text messages to a Maryland woman in December 2017 and January 2018. He was sentenced to 43 months in prison.
