CMPD investigating east Charlotte shooting

The victim was rushed to the hospital after a shooting on Kildare Drive, Medic said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously injured in a shooting in east Charlotte Saturday morning, Medic said. 

It happened along Kildare Drive, not far from The Plaza and Milton Road, around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18. Medic confirmed one person was rushed to Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Multiple Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers were on the scene investigation. As of 4:30 p.m. Saturday, CMPD hasn't released any information about the shooting or announced any arrests. It's unclear if CMPD has identified a suspect in the case.
