1 dead, 3 injured after shooting in Kings Mountain, police say

Police confirmed one of the victims, identified as 30-year-old Tyshem Daquan Sharpe, died from his injuries.

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — A man is dead and three others are injured following a shooting in a Kings Mountain neighborhood early Saturday morning, officials said.

The Kings Mountain Police Department responded to a shots fired call around 5 a.m. along Waco Road, not far from North Cansler Street where they found two victims with gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to the hospital, according to police. Two additional victims arrived separately at the hospital.

Later on Saturday, police confirmed one of the victims, identified as 30-year-old Tyshem Daquan Sharpe, died from his injuries. 

Two other victims, identified as 30-year-old Rodney Edward Stevens Jr. and 30-year-old Andre Lashawn Littlejohn, remain in critical condition, according to police. The fourth victim, Nayoka Iteke Burris, suffered minor injuries and has since been released from the hospital.

No word on whether any suspects have been identified in this case. WCNC Charlotte has reached out to the Kings Mountain Police Department for more information.
