CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man exposed himself to a 73-year-old woman in a Walmart parking lot, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
It happened Wednesday morning outside the store on Albemarle Road. Shoppers said they couldn't believe anyone would do that, especially to a woman that age.
There are signs in the parking lot that warn security cameras are in use. Shoppers hoped the surveillance will help catch the suspect.
“That could be somebody's grandmother; you don't want to see anything like that,” said shopper Lillian Holmes.
According to the police report, the suspect flashed the woman around 10:15 a.m.
“It is disturbing, someone that is 73-years-old, regardless what time it was, exposes himself, “ Holmes told NBC Charlotte. “He has some issues going on.”
Investigators said there might have been more than one witness, and there’s a chance security cameras could provide a clue.
“If he gets caught, hopefully he will, I would like to see him arrested for what he's doing,” Holmes said.
In the meantime, Holmes said she will keep her eyes peeled, and the man will pay a price if something similar happens when she’s around.
“If somebody’s like that, I would have probably punched him,” Holmes said. “73-years-old? I think I would have took him on.”
No arrests have been made.
