CONOVER, N.C. -- Authorities have made an arrest in a deadly shooting in Conover Wednesday night.
Conover police charged 25-year-old Daniel Williamson with murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury.
Police responded to a shooting at a home on Third Street Place SW around 9 p.m.
Upon arriving on the scene, officers found two victims with gunshot wounds. Lisa Vanhoogen was transported to Catawba Valley Medical Center and is in stable condition. Michael Anthony Beltran was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the shooting began as a domestic situation. The victims and the suspect knew each other and this incident is not a random act of violence, according to police.
Williamson is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center without bond.
