GREENSBORO, N.C. — A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) tied to a deadly shooting that happened 12 years ago in Greensboro.
On Wednesday, Governor Roy Cooper said the state is offering up to $30,000 (including $5,000 from Crime Stoppers) for information about a suspect or suspects responsible for shooting and killing 29-year-old Jeffrey Alston on Tuscaloosa Street in Greensboro.
Back on May 5, 2011, around 2:49 a.m., Alston was found dead in a car from a gunshot wound at the intersection of South Pearson Street near Tuscaloosa Street.
