Man wanted for assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill cut electronic monitor, police say

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man wanted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill is on the run after cutting off his electronic monitor, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said.

Carlos Bright, 26, was last known to be in the area of 1511 Briarfield Drive. Police said he was ordered to wear the device as a condition of his pre-trial release.

Bright is also charged with discharging a firearm into occupied property, damage to property, and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.
