Medic responds to 2 shootings in Charlotte in a matter of hours

In both shootings, one person was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In less than four hours, Medic confirmed it had responded to two shootings in Charlotte. 

First, around 12 a.m. Thursday, Medic confirmed it had responded to the 1200 block of West Sugar Road in northeast Charlotte, which is near the exit for Interstate 85 northbound. One person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Then around 3:30 a.m., Medic confirmed one person had life-threatening injuries after a shooting on Northway Drive, near Pawtuckett Road in west Charlotte. 

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has not provided further information on either shooting at this time. It's not clear if any suspects are in custody.
