CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police says they received confirmation that the body found Thursday belonged to a missing Uber driver.
The body of 44-year-old Marlo Medina-Chevez was found in a wooded area in Rock Hill, CMPD says.
Medina-Chevez's daughter said Marlo would come home with the funniest stories.
"Funny stories from the people he would pick up and we would just laugh about it," she says.

An Uber Spokesperson told NBC Charlotte in a statement, "We are devastated by the loss of Marlo Medina-Chevez. Our prayers are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time."
Police say they were working off of several leads. Ultimately, a sergeant with York County Sheriff's Department and his K9 officer found Medina-Chevez's body.
Medina-Chevez was reported missing May 21, after family members say he left for work Saturday night to pick up a client. Medina-Chevez left home driving his 2008 dark blue Nissan Pathfinder.
People who live near the crime scene were in disbelief, as they were worried the suspects may be from the area.
"If you went down that road 100 times, you would never notice that gravel road there," says Jeremy Mumma, a neighbor. "Unless you knew it was there. I do believe that."
On Tuesday, two men were arrested in connection to Medina-Chevez's disappearance. CMPD says 25-year-old Diontray Adams and 20-year-old James Stevens are both charged with armed robbery, kidnapping and murder.
Adams and Stevens will both be transferred to the custody of Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office upon extradition. Both men currently being held in Maryland.
