CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was shot and killed in Mount Holly late Thursday night, police said.
Mount Holly Police responded to a shooting at a home on Gander Way, which is just off Lowland Dairy Road and Sandy Ford Road, around 11:45 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the drive of a home who had been shot. Paramedics arrived a short time later and continued life-saving measures but the man died at the scene.
The victim has not been identified at this time due to his age and family notification. No arrests have been made at this time and Mount Holly investigators haven't released any further details.
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss our community has experienced once again and offer our condolences to the families," Chief Brian Reagan said.
