CONWAY, S.C. (AP) -- A state judge has denied bond for a married couple charged with murder and kidnapping in the disappearance of a woman on the Grand Strand.
Circuit Judge Steven John denied bond Monday for 38-year-old Sidney Moorer and his 42-year-old wife Tammy following a two-hour hearing in Conway.
The two were arrested last month and are charged in the death of 20-year-old Heather Elvis, last seen Dec. 17. Her body has not been found.
Prosecutors say Tammy Moorer knew her husband was having an affair with the missing woman, that the killing was premeditated and that the Moorers disposed of Elvis' body.
