CMPD investigating report of shots fired at north Charlotte Starbucks

The police report says $1,500 in damage was caused when shots were fired at the Starbucks on Davis Lake Parkway Tuesday evening.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A north Charlotte Starbucks was damaged when it was shot into Tuesday evening, according to a police report. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to the Starbucks on Davis Lake Parkway, just off West W.T. Harris Boulevard, around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to the police report, at least one window was smashed and the building was damaged. The report says the Starbucks had an estimated $1,500 in damage done to it during the incident.

CMPD hasn't released any suspect information or announced any arrests. It's unclear what led to the shots being fired at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
