HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — The Huntersville Police Department said a North Mecklenburg High School student not only was selling THC vape pens on campus but also had guns in his car.
Officers said they were notified that 18-year-old Miguel Angel Penaloza Guz was selling the vape pens at the school. Police got to the campus and stopped him as he tried to drive away. A K9 officer searched the car, leading to about 100 THC pens being found.
Police said they also found two handguns in the car with extended magazines. Guz was taken into custody and is now charged with trespassing, two counts of carrying a concealed weapon on school grounds, felony possession of marijuana, and felon possession of marijuana with intent to sell and deliver.
On Facebook, Huntersville Police said school resources officers and school staff were key to identifying Guz and getting him into custody.
