CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they've arrested a man accused of killing another man nearly a year ago in the northeast part of the city.
Officers said 23-year-old Nickaleus Felder was arrested without incident Tuesday morning. He's charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Felder is accused of killing 25-year-old Jonathan Sheffield on March 21, 2023. Sheffield was found dead by a family member at a home along Malibu Drive. CMPD at the time said it appeared someone had broken in during the homicide.
Sheffield's next of kin have been informed of Felder's arrest, according to police.
