North Charlotte shooting under investigation

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Medic said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously injured in a north Charlotte shooting early Monday, police said. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police was called to a reported shooting along Plumstead Road, which is just off Beatties Ford Road and Griers Grove Road, a little after midnight. When officers arrived, they found one person who'd been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Medic.

CMPD hasn't released any further information about the incident at this time. It's unclear if any arrests were made or if detectives have identified a suspect. 

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
