CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Mecklenburg County Sherriff's Office confirmed that a detention officer was stabbed by a resident overnight Friday during an altercation at the jail.
The officer was transported to the hospital and treated for her injuries, according to the Sherriff's Office.
