CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department is conducting a new homicide investigation after died after an apparent shooting Friday.
Around 6:30 p.m., CMPD officers responding to a shooting found 35-year-old Walter Livingston suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics with Medic responded and pronounced him dead.
Livingston was found in the 3400 block of Washburn Avenue, which is located adjacent to Bojangles Coliseum off of Independent Blvd.
Video recorded near the scene showed CMPD conducting their investigation.
