CHESTER, S.C. — One person is dead after a shooting in Chester County Monday evening.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, the Chester County Sheriff's Office confirmed a 29-year-old man was killed following a shooting at Ransey Grove Apartments on Flint Street in Chester.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where attempts were made to save his life, but the victim died from his gunshot wounds.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Chester County officials also stated that the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was on the way to assist in the investigation and crime scene processing.
