CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating after one person was shot in east Charlotte Saturday night.
It happened outside in the 1600 block of Eastcrest Drive in an apartment complex, according to CMPD.
The 911 call came in just before 8:15 p.m. Saturday.
Medic transported a victim to Atrium Health's Carolina Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Suspects have not been located at this time. Police believe they could have left the scene in a vehicle.
At this time, police are still working to determine the motive behind the shooting.
No other information has been released.
