Chapin, SC (WLTX) - Chapin police have arrested a woman after they say her baby was exposed to meth while in the womb.
Elizabeth Ashleigh Thompson, 36, is charged with one count of unlawful conduct toward a child. Officers say her baby died back on August 3 at a home in Chapin.
Investigators say toxicology reports show the infant had been exposed to meth during Thompson's pregnancy. Thompson has been arrested and booked at the Lexington County Detention Center.
