CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A homicide investigation is underway in southwest Charlotte after a person was shot and killed Saturday night, according to police.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to an assault with a deadly call just after 10:30 p.m. near a McDonald's at South Boulevard and East Arrowood Road.
Officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Police have not named any suspects at this time. This case remains active and ongoing.
