1 person hurt after shooting in east Charlotte

The person is being treated for life-threatening injuries, according to Medic.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was hurt after a shooting in east Charlotte Sunday afternoon, Medic said. 

It happened on East W.T. Harris Boulevard, near the intersection with The Plaza. 

Medic said the person was taken to an area hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

Further details about the shooting have not yet been made public. It's not yet clear if a suspect is in custody.
