RICHMOND COUNTY, N.C. — The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says they're investigating a man's death as a homicide after he was found with gunshot wounds more than a week ago.
The office shared on Facebook Friday that deputies were called to the home of 29-year-old Damian Ray Brayboy along Springhill Church Road in the Hamlet community. The call was for a possibly deceased person inside Brayboy's home.
Deputies said they responded along with Hamlet Fire & Rescue. They were able to get inside and found Brayboy's body within. Brayboy appeared to have been shot and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Anyone who has information about what may have happened is asked to call Richmond County Crime Stoppers at (910) 997-5454. Tips can also be shared with Richmond County 911 or the sheriff's office criminal investigations division by calling (910) 410-1117.
