HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A 29-year-old man is in custody again after being accused of inappropriately touching a woman in Huntersville on Nov. 1.

Kenny Jackson was previously convicted for two counts of assault on a female and two counts of sexual battery for an incident that happened in June 2024. In connection to that crime, he was sentenced to 60 days in jail on Aug. 22 and was released in late October. He appealed both of those convictions with the North Carolina court of Appeals, according to court records, but no finalization of that appeal has been heard yet.

Now, Jackson is charged with common law robbery, resisting arrest and sexual battery. He's being held on a $25,000 bond, and his next court date is Nov. 26.

WCNC Charlotte asked Brian Vaughan, the assistant chief at the Huntersville Police Department, if there could be additional victims, and he said they are not certain there are more victims, but they hope if they think they've been victimized by this person, they will come forward and cooperate with the investigation.

Note: WCNC instituted a policy in March 2021 regarding the broadcast or posting of mugshots.

WCNC will only air or post a mugshot if the person has been formally charged with a crime and in a few other cases. The exceptions include: If it appears the person could be a danger to themselves or others or if they are wanted by authorities; to differentiate between people with a common name; if the photos could encourage more victims to come forward. The news-editorial leadership may also decide to use a mugshot based on the severity of the crime(s) committed and/or the level of public interest in the crime and ensuing criminal proceedings.
