Man killed in Rock Hill hit-and-run crash

The man was taken to Piedmont Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A man was hit and killed by a vehicle in Rock Hill on Sunday, police said. 

Rock Hill Police responded to multiple reports of a person lying on Celanese Road near Interstate 77 a little after 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 15. When officers arrived, they found a 44-year-old man who'd apparently been hit by a car. The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. 

Detectives immediately launched an investigation to determine what led up to the man's death. So far, no arrests have been made and investigators haven't released any suspect information. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the Rock Hill Police Department at 803-329-7200.
