CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A second suspect involved with the murder of a college baseball player in Charlotte learned his fate Thursday.
Demonte McCain will spend five to eight years behind bars.
The first suspect, Jah’zion Wilson, was found guilty of pulling the trigger. He was sentenced to life in prison.

Officials said the victim, Zachary Finch, was trying to buy a phone for sale off the app LetGo in 2017, but McCain and Wilson tried to rob him instead.
Finch was ultimately shot and killed.
