SHELBY, N.C. — A man who was found with a gunshot wound in Shelby Friday died at a nearby hospital.
The Shelby Police Department said officers responded just before noon along East Warren Street near Chestnut Street. They found the main suffering from his wound and had him taken to Atrium Health - Cleveland for treatment where he later died.
As of publication, the victim's name is being withheld as police work to notify family members. No arrests have been made yet.
