CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously injured in a northeast Charlotte shooting on Thursday. The shooting happened on Mallard Highlands Drive.
The person was transported by Medic to Novant Health Presbyterian hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officials have closed off a crime scene around a car, which may be involved in the shooting.
Further information about the shooting, including whether police have located any suspects or what may have led up to the shooting, was not immediately available.
